Keyamo Launches Nigeria’s Ambitious Low-Emission Development Strategy

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, made a landmark presentation at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28 UAE) in Dubai, signifying Nigeria’s profound commitment to transitioning comprehensively from fossil fuels to low-emission alternatives across all sectors. Representing President Bola Tinubu, Keyamo, in a pivotal moment at the African pavilion, officially launched Nigeria’s Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy.

The special assistant on digital media to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Gbenga Saka disclosed this over the weekend, emphasising the strategic significance of Nigeria’s dedication to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

The launch represents a crucial step toward a low-carbon future for Nigeria, underscoring the nation’s role in global climate efforts. Keyamo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this vital initiative and extended thanks to all stakeholders involved in supporting Nigeria’s pursuit of an eco-friendly trajectory.
