The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured pilgrims and the general public of its readiness to conduct the 2022 Hajj operations seamlessly.

The authority’s managing director, Capt. Rabiu Yadudu disclosed this recently while inspecting facilities at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

According to Yadudu, the 2022 Hajj operations will kick off in Maiduguri on June 9, 2022, with 3 major carriers FlyNas Airline, Azman Airline and Max Air already licensed to airlift pilgrims at Lagos and Abuja from today (June 10, 2022).

Admonishing pilgrims to get to the airport early to avoid missing their flights, the MD noted that all requirements aimed at ensuring the safety, security and comfort of pilgrims have been met.

A statement by FAAN’s acting general manager, corporate affairs, Mrs. Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, said Yadudu expressed confidence that the hajj operations will be successful, as he wished all pilgrims a successful pilgrimage.
