The Federal Character Commission (FCC) recently celebrated its third-year anniversary in Abuja, where its executive chairman, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka presented a comprehensive stewardship report. During the event, commissioners from various states shared their achievements and expressed optimism for the future.
The commissioner for Niger State, Gen. Suleiman Saeed highlighted the progress made by the commission over the past three years. He emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation among the board members and called on all staff to support the leadership of the chairman. Saeed expressed confidence that the coming years would be even better.
The commissioner for Sokoto State, Hon. Abdullahi Aminu Tafida commended the present leadership of the commission for their accomplishments. He emphasised the need for the equitable distribution of employment opportunities and resources.
During the event, the FCC chairman received an award from an authentic unemployed youth group, recognising her efforts in addressing youth unemployment.
Dankaka expressed her gratitude to the honorable commissioners for their support in ensuring the smooth functioning of the commission. She also thanked the authentic unemployed youth group for the award and assured them that when employment opportunities arise, the youths will be informed through appropriate channels.
