The director-general, National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), Prof. Okechukwu Ukwuoma has bowed out of service sequel to the end of his second tenure as the chief executive officer of the agency.
Appointed on July 21, 2014, as the director-general of NACETEM, a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ukwuoma’s tenure officially came to an end today (July 21, 2022).
Speaking during the handover to the most senior director at the agency, Dr. John Omimakinde at the centre’s headquarters, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Ukwuoma lauded the great strides the agency recorded under his leadership and thanked the staff for working as a team to realise the goals and ambition of the agency.
Speaking at a general meeting with staff members earlier, he confessed that NACETEM had made him a better person as he learned so much from all and sundry in his eight years of stewardship at the agency.
As directed by the governing board, Dr. Omimakinde holds brief as the leader of the agency, pending the appointment of a substantive director-general/chief executive officer.
A statement by NACETEM’s public relations officer, Mr. Isaac Oluyi said Omimakinde solicited the cooperation of all to move the agency a notch higher from its present position until the appointment of a substantive helmsman.
