NITDA, GAGE Company Partner For Co-Create Africa Intl Tech Expo

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced its partnership with the GAGE Company for the Co-Create Africa International Exhibition, which will now be known as the “NITDA-Co-Create West Africa Tech Week”.

The Co-Create Africa International Tech Expo, hosted by The GAGE Company, is a two-day exhibition that showcases innovative startups and the latest tech solutions from local and global participants. With over 10,000 visitors and 150 exhibitors expected, it provides a platform to highlight the advancements in technology.

The GAGE Company is known for its innovative work, including the GAGE Awards, which celebrate digital influencers, innovators and brands making a positive impact in society through web-based initiatives.

NITDA is committed to implementing the National Digital Economy Policy for a digital Nigeria. The agency’s mandate includes the planning, research, development, standardisation, application, coordination, monitoring, evaluation and regulation of information technology practices in Nigeria.

According to the director-general of NITDA, Mallam Kashifu Abdullahi partnership in the tech ecosystem drives job creation and economic growth. He believes that by working together, they can unleash innovation, foster entrepreneurship and ignite prosperity.

The partnership between NITDA and the GAGE Company is a significant initiative that positions Nigeria as a leader in fostering favourable startup policies and enabling innovation across the continent.

The CEO of the GAGE Company, Mr. Johnson Anorh expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that it will create an unprecedented platform for showcasing cutting-edge advancements, fostering collaboration, and amplifying the impact of Nigeria’s tech ecosystem within Africa and the ECOWAS region. He sees this collaboration as a commitment to nurturing local talent, unlocking growth opportunities and positioning Nigeria at the forefront of global technological excellence.

The Co-Create Africa International Tech Expo is scheduled to take place in February 2024 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.
