NiMet, TAHMO Sign MoU To Expand Weather Station Network

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a non-governmental agency Trans-African Hydro-Meteorological Observatory (TAHMO), to expand NiMet’s network of weather stations across Nigeria.

During the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), the director-general of NiMet and Nigeria’s permanent representative with the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), Prof. Charles Anosike expressed his pride in being associated with the TAHMO project. NiMet aims to enhance the collaboration by extending it to the marine sector.

Els Veenjoven and Prof. Ahmed Balogun signed on behalf of the TAHMO project.
