NiMet DG Appointed To NOSDRA Board

The director-general of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Prof. Mansur Matazu has been appointed as a member of the governing board of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA).

The appointment was confirmed in a letter addressed to the Minister of Environment, citing the approval of the Minister of Aviation.

“Referring to your letter dated 29th March 2023, the Honourable Minister of Aviation has approved the appointment of Prof. Mansur Bako Matazu, director-general of NiMet, to the governing board of NOSDRA,” the statement read.

Matazu’s appointment is expected to bring his knowledge and experience to the board.
