NASENI Boss Tasks Staff On Service Delivery

The executive vice chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Prof. Mohammed Haruna, has tasked staff of the agency to brace to deliver more on the agency’s mandate for national development.

He made this call during a facility tour and inspection of the NASENI liaison office in Lagos.

Addressing staff of the agency at the office, he charged them to play their part in achieving the agency’s operational mandate in the areas of capital goods’ research and production through the development of local capacity and capability for machine-building and fabrication.

“The agency is strategically established to produce relevant technologies, set up industrial pilot plants to stimulate knowledge-based entrepreneurship for indigenous socio-economic advancement of Nigeria using applied research for science, technology and innovation.”

The NASENI boss restated the agency’s commitment to staff welfare, even as he thanked them for their support and dedication towards the progress of the agency while urging them to brace for the work ahead.

He further stated that all efforts are in place to ensure the office is set up to standard to boost staff welfare and performance. 

Responding on behalf of the Lagos State Liaison staff, Mr. Babajide Sawyer, described the visit as a “morale booster” and assured the EVC/CE of their continuous commitment to duty to achieve the goals and mandate of the agency.

A statement by the special assistant on social media to the EVC, Mr. Peter Ewu, said the agency’s headquarters was in Lagos State when it was established in 1992 before it was moved to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, when it became the nation’s capital.
