In a strategic move to enhance its news coverage, current affairs programming and overall viewer satisfaction, Kaftan TV has appointed veteran broadcaster Reuben Okala as the new head of its Abuja station.

Okala, who will assume his role immediately, brings nearly thredecades of extensive experience from his tenure at Nigeria’s premier television network, the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).

Kaftan TV’s CEO, Waheed Odusule introduced Okala during a general meeting with staff on Tuesday. Odusule emphasised the importance of hard work and professional conduct, promising to address staff welfare and rewards while warning against laziness and misconduct.

In a brief statement, a representative of Kaftan TV, highlighted the station’s commitment to professionalism. He explained that the founder, Prince Adewale Adebayo values professional excellence highly, making Okala’s appointment essential for the station’s success.

During his introductory remarks, Okala expressed his satisfaction with the station’s facilities following a tour. He encouraged the staff to be creative and carve out a niche for themselves, aiming to elevate Kaftan TV to new heights. Okala also emphasised the importance of self-belief and hard work, assuring the team that diligence would be rewarded under his leadership.
