The Kebbi State governor, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, has bagged the first-ever National Space Research Development Agency (NASRDA) ‘Space Ambassador Award’.
The award bestowed on Bagudu, the chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum, during the 2021 Annual Space Dialogue and National Media Conference on Space Science Technology and Innovation organised by NASRDA, yesterday in Abuja, was in recognition of his good leadership qualities and support to the space programme.
The award, according to the agency, is a lifetime award that exists even after the expiration of his tenure as the state governor.
A statement by the special adviser, media, to Kebbi State governor, Yahaya Sarki, noted that Bagudu is the first governor in Nigeria to be so honoured.
