The Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika has commissioned the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) art conference hall as well as the agency’s pilot briefing room.
Speaking during the commissioning of the facilities at NiMet’s headquarters, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Sirirka commended the agency’s management for the move and described the projects as “innovative”.
“We commend them, we celebrate them. They have been doing many projects that are innovative and they have been taking the lead to promote safety and security,” he stated.
Earlier, the minister commissioned the remodelled state-of-the-art conference room and the Central Forecast Office (CFO) both in NiMet headquarters since the assumption of the current management in NiMet.
In his remarks, the NiMet director-general, Prof. Mansur Matazu, said the leadership of the agency has spearheaded a drive for the development of infrastructure in NiMet offices across the country. He reiterated that the project is being replicated across the various NiMet offices.
