The 3rd awards ceremony of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) celebrated the exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment of the commission’s executive chairman, Dr. Muheebah Dankaka.
This prestigious event served as a platform to recognise outstanding contributions towards promoting fairness and equity in Nigeria, showcasing the significant impact of Dankaka’s leadership on the FCC’s mission.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including the permanent secretary of the General Services Office, Dr. Maurice Mbaeri, who represented the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
Other notable attendees included chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Character, Senator Allwell Onyesoh; Deputy governor of Borno State, Alh. Umar Usman Kadafur; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Shaib Kyari and a representative of Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
In his keynote address, Akume, emphasised that the current administration under President Bola Tinubu is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of Nigerian citizens, which can only be achieved through fairness and justice.
Under Dankaka’s leadership, the FCC has shown its commitment to enforcing compliance with the Federal Character Principle.
The commission’s initiatives have been crucial in promoting a culture of fairness, equity and justice in Nigeria.
The award ceremony recognised the contributions of various individuals and organisations that have supported the FCC’s mission.
Awardees included Federal Government establishments demonstrating compliance with the Federal Character Principle, as well as the staff and management of the commission, who exhibited exceptional commitment to their duties.
The event celebrated excellence and served as a testament to the positive impact of Dankaka’s leadership on the FCC and the nation as a whole.
