The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has disclosed that it has been inundated by requests from dealers and the general public following the unveiling of several new products last week.
The executive vice chairman of the agency, Mr. Khalil Halilu who disclosed this over the weekend advised that enquiries about bulk orders for the NASENI laptops, solar irrigation pumps and pre-orders for all other products be emailed to sales@naseni.gov.ng
The agency recently unveiled a range of new products at a media briefing held at its headquarters in Abuja. The products displayed include NASENI 300 Watts LED Solar Street Lamp, NASENI Laptop, NASENI Lithium battery, NASENI solar irrigation pumps, and a NASENI Smartphone, all of which were developed in collaboration with technical partners.
Halilu has emphasised the agency’s commitment to partnering with private sector players to bring high-quality household and industrial products to the market. He believes that the agency’s technical expertise and ability to assist private sector players in unlocking new markets across the country and abroad will help achieve this goal.
The NASENI vision is to transition from “semi-knocked down” (SKD) assembly to “completely knocked down” (CKD) assembly, increase the input of locally-sourced materials in all product components, and ensure the full transfer of all required Intellectual Property (IP) and technology elements and licensing.
The agency’s director of information, Olusegun Ayeoyenikan has released a statement pledging to keep the public updated on the progress of this transformational industrial journey. He also highlighted NASENI’s 3 core operating principles of collaboration, creation and commercialisation, and how the agency will always focus on progressively scaling up local-content sourcing and strengthening domestic technical and production capacity.
Overall, NASENI aims to conserve resources, avoid duplication of effort, shorten go-to-market time and work as partners and enablers with private sector players.
