The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Sen. Adeleke Mamora has touted the maintenance of orderliness in all facets of society as an enabler of objectives and goals of government for national development.
Mamora made this assertion when the Senior Staff Association of Universities, Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutes (SSAUTHRIAI) paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja today (September 2, 2022).
He charged the trade union to work in synergy and ensure an orderly resolution of disputes and proper application of justice to maintain peace and progress in various organisations.
On the issues that led to her strike, the minister assured her that the challenges will be looked into to provide a lasting solution.
Earlier, the president of the association, Dr. Benjamin Akintola said the core issue for the visit was the zero coordination of research institutes in Nigeria and the need for the assistance of the ministry in solving and resolving the issues which hinder progress.
A statement by the ministry’s deputy director, press and public relations, Atuora Obed said while listing the challenges faced by his trade union, Akintola expressed confidence that the solutions to these challenges are at hand and that future confrontation will be well addressed.
