The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced the postponement of the Digital Nigeria International Conference 2024 due to logistical challenges.
Originally scheduled for October 22-24, 2024, the event has been delayed because the International Conference Centre, Abuja — the main venue — is undergoing extensive renovations, making it unavailable for the planned dates. Efforts to secure an alternative venue that could accommodate the scale of the event were unsuccessful.
In a statement issued by the agency’s director of corporate communications and media relations, Mrs. Hadiza Umar, NITDA acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the postponement. “We regret any disruption to your plans and sincerely apologise. Our team is actively working to secure a suitable date and venue for the conference,” the statement read.
NITDA assured attendees that updates regarding the new schedule and venue will be shared as soon as they are finalised. The Digital Nigeria International Conference is one of NITDA’s flagship events, drawing stakeholders from the technology, government and private sectors to discuss the advancement of digital innovation in Nigeria.
