The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigerian Army have embarked on a landmark collaboration to harness digital technology for enhancing national security. This strategic partnership, which unites two critical stakeholders in the nation’s security framework, aims to revolutionise Nigeria’s approach to peace and security by leveraging innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to counter emerging threats.
During a meeting held at NITDA’s corporate headquarters on Wednesday, discussions centered on developing innovative tools and solutions to enhance peace and security in Nigeria through digital transformation. The collaboration will prioritise capacity building and research, aligning with the presidential priority areas, particularly in strengthening national security.
NITDA’s director-general, Mallam Kashifu Abdullahi, represented by the director of the ITIS department, Oladejo Olawumi emphasised the importance of this partnership in utilising digital technology to promote national security and development.
