The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) celebrated the 2024 SERVICOM Customer Service Week, themed “Above and Beyond,” reinforcing its dedication to exemplary customer service and acknowledging the efforts of service professionals across its workforce. This annual week-long event, launched on October 28, aimed to honor the contributions of staff and inspire a renewed commitment to customer satisfaction.
The Postmaster General of the Federation, Tola Odeyemi lauded NIPOST’s SERVICOM team and other staff members for their dedication, stating, “Together, we can redefine the standards of service excellence in NIPOST and in Nigeria.” She reiterated the organisation’s commitment to prioritising customer needs and experiences, which she believes is essential to upholding NIPOST’s vision of “Connecting Nigeria, Delivering Solutions and Impacting Lives.”
National coordinator of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli emphasised the importance of celebrating the Customer Service Week as a means to build loyalty among stakeholders. In her keynote address, Akajemeli highlighted that customer service excellence requires empathy and understanding, adding that staff must consistently strive to meet the needs of customers from all backgrounds.
During the event, outstanding employees like Charles Akor (finance & accounts) and Emeka Olu (the FCT SERVICOM desk officer), received special recognition for their contributions to NIPOST’s service delivery. The week’s highlights included a SERVICOM report presentation and a lecture focused on promoting continuous improvement in service standards across NIPOST.
