The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) recently organised a two-day training in Lagos for airline operators on the use of its e-flight folder, a web-based application designed to manage interactions and deliver flight folders electronically.
The app allows for the seamless submission and processing of flight schedules—both scheduled and non-scheduled—making flight folders instantly accessible to airlines. It also incorporates feedback mechanisms for pilots and users to enhance functionality.
Held on January 13 and 14, 2025, the training introduced the e-flight folder to airlines while also gathering their feedback for further improvement.
Participants commended NiMet for the innovative solution, highlighting its potential to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery.
The initiative underscores NiMet’s commitment to leveraging technology for modernising aviation operations and fostering a more efficient and responsive industry.
