NiMeT Forecasts Rise In Temperature In Some States

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMeT) through its Central Forecast Office (CFO) has alerted the rise in temperature across some states today. 

The general manager, public relations, NiMeT, Muntari Yusuf Ibrahim, disclosed this in a statement issued by the CFO and made available to Science Nigeria. 

“Areas that will have a temperature greater than 40°C are parts of Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, FCT, Imo, Plateau, Adamawa, Taraba and Benue. Most parts of the north (except Kano) are expected to experience temperatures greater than 35°C and less than 40°C. 

“The entire inland of the south and most parts of the coastal states (except Lagos) are expected to be in the same temperature range,” the forecast said.
