The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMeT) has been recognised as the Most Impactful Agency of The Year 2021 by the Air Transport Quarterly magazine board and publisher.
The ceremony, which took place at the conference hall of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Training School annex was to recognise NiMeT’s contribution to the development of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Receiving the award, the director-general, NiMeT, Prof. Mansur Matazu, said: “Since his assumption, he has aligned with the vision, mission and objectives of the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika and the ministry’s seven-point road map, one of which is the establishment of the aviation university.”
Matazu thanked the organisers for the award and appreciated them for the recognition.
Present at the ceremony were the CEOs, chief executives and stakeholders in the aviation industry.
Other recipients of the award were the NCAT, NCAA, FAAN, AIB, NAMA, Arik Air, Kenya Airways, Air Peace, Africa World Airlines, as well as other notable individuals and unions.
