The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Mrs. Esuabana Nko-Asanye has said that Nigeria will collaborate with China on the supply of equipment, manpower development and technical assistance to schools, hospitals, and laboratories to enhance the country’s socio-economic development.
Esuabana made this known during a courtesy visit to her office in Abuja by a delegation led by the Oore of Otun Ekiti and paramount ruler of Mobaland, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Adekunle Adeagbo.
According to her, no country can achieve sustainable development without fully deploying science and technology across all sectors. She emphasised the ministry’s readiness to explore strategic partnerships that can drive innovation and national growth.
In a statement by the ministry’s head of press and public relations, Mrs. Pauline Sule the permanent secretary commended the Oore of Otun Ekiti for facilitating the engagement, noting that while some countries underestimate Nigeria, China continues to support its advancement – especially in the fields of science and technology.
Earlier, the royal said Nigeria is richly endowed with natural resources and if properly harnessed through strategic collaborations like this, the country would experience significant economic transformation.
