NIGCOMSAT To Provide Connectivity To INFRATEL Africa

The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd has secured a significant achievement by providing connectivity to INFRATEL AFRICA, a major telecom company engaged in backhauling rural infrastructure projects.

This project will migrate 100 locations to the NigComSat-1R Ka-band hub platform. This connectivity will enhance rural communication and bridge the digital divide, aligning with the current administration’s efforts towards a robust digital economy. The NigComSat-1R satellite capacity will support businesses in expanding telecom networks and improving connectivity solutions.

Managing director of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, Mrs. Nkechi Egerton-Idehen stated, “The collaboration with INFRATEL AFRICA is a welcome development. NIGCOMSAT Ltd is now positioned to claim its rightful place in the industry.” Since assuming office eight months ago, Egerton-Idehen has received considerable support from staff and customers. “Together, we are making significant progress in delivering services in transponder lease, broadband internet, broadcast services and other turnkey solutions,” she added during the agreement signing between the two companies.

Egerton-Idehen highlighted the competence of the internal staff, reflecting the company’s robust human resources. She assured Infratel Africa that NIGCOMSAT Ltd has recently upgraded its infrastructure to meet global service delivery standards. “I do not doubt the strength and competence of the staff and infrastructure I work with. I assure you that we will deliver quality service to you and your customers,” she declared.
