The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd has announced the launch of the second edition of its Accelerator Programme, set to commence on February 1, 2025. Applications will be available on the company’s website for interested participants.
The programme is designed to support start-ups through a structured mentorship, networking and exposure framework, helping them scale into the global space-tech ecosystem.
According to managing director of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, Mrs. Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen the initiative will empower start-ups leveraging satellite technology to address challenges in space-tech, agri-tech, fintech, ed-tech, health-tech and cybersecurity.
“This programme offers a prestigious partnership with NIGCOMSAT, granting participants global visibility and business opportunities,” she stated.
A statement by NIGCOMSAT’s acting general manager, corporate affairs, Aisha Bantam, emphasised that participating start-ups will be guided from conception to market-ready solutions, ensuring their successful integration into the industry.
