Managing director and CEO of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, Mrs. Jane Egerton-Idehen emphasised the company’s commitment to driving digital transformation and enhancing connectivity across Nigeria. “By collaborating with the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, considering its strong influence in the media space and contributions to societal development, we have the opportunity to elevate the country’s broadcasting landscape and bring the benefits of satellite technology to millions of Nigerians who rely on these vital services,” she said.
The collaboration will begin immediately, with NIGCOMSAT’s technical team working closely with BON to integrate their systems and ensure a seamless transition. This partnership underscores NIGCOMSAT’s dedication to supporting the growth and development of Nigeria’s media and communications sectors, ultimately empowering citizens with access to reliable and informative content.
Executive secretary of BON, Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose expressed gratitude to NIGCOMSAT Ltd for the significant gesture and the special consideration accorded BON members, including the allocation of two transponders at discounted rates. He also highlighted NIGCOMSAT’s commitment to supporting the broadcasting industry.

NIGCOMSAT Ltd also participated in the 79th General Assembly of BON, held in Benin City, Edo State, on July 17, 2024. Bamgbose expressed joy at NIGCOMSAT Ltd’s presence at the event, where a goodwill message was delivered by Mrs. Jelilat Folakemi Olusesi of the south-west business office.
