In a significant development, the recently appointed managing director of Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Mrs. Nkechi Egerton-Idehen officially assumed her role yesterday morning, marking the start of a new era at the company’s corporate headquarters along Umaru Musa Yar’adua Way, Lugbe, Abuja.
Upon her arrival, Egerton-Idehen initiated a series of meetings, commencing with a session with the executive management team. She then convened a town hall meeting, bringing together the general staff to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose.
The new NIGCOMSAT leader, visibly grateful for her appointment, appealed to the staff for their support and collaboration. Drawing from her extensive two-decade experience in the satellite industry, she vowed to leverage her expertise for the benefit of the company.

The executive director of marketing and business development, Dr. Najeem Salaam warmly welcomed Egerton-Idehen and congratulated her on the well-deserved appointment. He encouraged her to view her new role at NIGCOMSAT Ltd as a homecoming.
Adding to the chorus of welcome, the executive director of technical services, Professor Abdu Jaafar Bambale expressed his gratitude to the new managing director for taking the time to address the staff on her very first day in office.
