The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has partnered with Zilcotech International Limited to tackle the illegal construction of high-rise structures across the country. The collaboration is in line with the Civil Aviation Act 2022 and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations, 2015.
Zilcotech’s appointment follows a Federal Executive Council approval in November 2022 and the subsequent signing of an agreement between the two entities in December of the same year.
The NCAA has sent a letter to all operators and stakeholders in the aviation industry introducing the consultancy and calling on their cooperation to ensure safer skies.
Also, the authority stated that all payments for the services provided would be made directly to NCAA and not to Zilcotech.
In a statement, the NCAA assured the public that it will continue to enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and that any violations would be viewed seriously. The partnership with Zilcotech is expected to help enhance safety within Nigeria’s navigable airspace.
