The National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), an agency under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (FMSTI), has revealed its intention to restrategise for greater service delivery.
A statement by the agency’s public relations officer, Isaac Oluyi, said its strategic management retreat themed “Re-engineering NACETEM for Greater Exploits”, billed to hold between March 2 and 5, 2022, in Akure, Ondo State, is designed to chart a new path or direction for the agency to effectively deliver on its mandate and impact more positively on society through its policy research, capacity building, policy advisory services, etc in science, technology and innovation management.
“NACETEM’s management is conscious of the dynamics of administration in the 21st century which constantly calls for adaptation and re-adaptation of new methods and ways of operations, to remain relevant, particularly within the science, technology and innovation space. Given this, the agency believes its modus operandi must be at par with what is obtainable globally and in tune with the realities of the time. Hence, the need to gather its top management staff and erudite resource persons to assess the agency’s position and come up with plans to remain a strong and virile institution.
“Present at the management retreat will be former director-general of NACETEM, Prof. Williams Siyanbola, to provide guidance on how to move the agency forward,” the statement added.
