The Presidency has commended the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development for its role in ensuring the upgrade of aspects of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The commendation was conveyed to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) by the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU) under the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination.

The managing director/chief executive of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, along with senior management, hosted Dr. Hendrix Odige of the CDCU and Mr. Haliu Mohammed from the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

The visit was part of the CDCU’s mandate to monitor the implementation of Presidential and Ministerial deliverables, aligned with the administration’s “Enhancing Infrastructure and Transportation as Enablers of Growth” priority.

According to FAAN’s director of public affairs & consumer protection, Mrs. Obiageli Orah the CDCU collaborates with delivery task teams across ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to track progress and submit quarterly updates.

During the tour, the Presidency’s representative lauded Mrs. Kuku’s leadership and FAAN’s achievements. They noted improvements in infrastructure and services at both ‘Domestic Terminal 1’ and the ‘International Terminal,’ highlighting their alignment with national aviation goals.
