The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari has expressed profound grief over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
In a condolence message, Kyari extended sympathy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the late Buhari’s family, Katsina State and the entire nation, describing Buhari’s passing as a monumental national loss.
He hailed Buhari as a disciplined and principled patriot whose legacy of public service spanned decades, from his tenure as Head of State in 1983 to his historic two-term presidency.
Kyari credited Buhari’s administration with championing national reforms anchored on development, integrity and accountability.
“His leadership reshaped Nigeria’s governance ethos and remains a reference point for patriotism,” he said.
He prayed that Allah (SWT) grants Buhari eternal rest and Aljannah Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings, noting that the former president’s impact on Nigeria’s history will endure for generations to come.
