The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, has visited HOG Technologies, a global leader in runway de-rubberisation equipment, at their headquarters in Stuart, Florida.
The visit aimed to explore cutting-edge technological solutions to enhance safety, operational efficiency and sustainability across Nigeria’s airports.
Accompanied by the MD/CEO of Barnksforte Group Ltd., Mr. Adedayo Bankole and CEO of International Trade Exchange LLC, Mr. Bishop Adejube —representatives of HOG Technologies in Nigeria and Africa—the minister was warmly received by the founder and CEO of HOG Technologies, Mr. James Crocker and vice-president of global sales, Mr. Matt Butcher.
During the visit, the Keyamo observed a live demonstration of HOG Technologies’ state-of-the-art runway equipment, gaining firsthand insight into innovative solutions capable of addressing Nigeria’s aviation challenges.
Crocker highlighted the suitability of HOG Technologies’ equipment for Nigeria’s high-traffic and regional airports, emphasising its efficiency and sustainability. He also announced plans to establish a regional training and support center in Nigeria to promote capacity building and technology transfer.
Speaking after the visit, the minister expressed optimism about the potential of the partnership, stating:
“This visit marks a pivotal step in our mission to elevate Nigeria’s aviation standards. The insights and opportunities gained during this engagement lay the foundation for transformative advancements in safety, efficiency and sustainability.”
The minister further outlined strategic priorities, including acquiring HOG Technologies’ de-rubberisation equipment for major Nigerian airports, launching a pilot project at a high-traffic airport and collaborating to train Nigerian technical teams.
