The new permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana has held a meeting with the outgoing permanent secretary and the ministry’s directors, following his recent posting to the ministry.
The head of press and public affairs, Odutayo Oluseyi disclosed that the informal meeting took place in Dr. Kana’s office today, December 24, 2024, marking the last official working day of the outgoing permanent secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole.
Kana commended Meribole for his exceptional leadership in the aviation sector and urged the directors to leverage their wealth of experience to ensure the ministry’s continued growth.
He also encouraged all heads of agencies in the aviation sector to attend the send-forth ceremony in honor of Meribole, scheduled for January 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the ministry’s conference hall.
Meribole, who is retiring from the Federal Civil Service upon reaching the mandatory retirement age, expressed gratitude to the new permanent secretary.
He also thanked the ministry’s directors for their support during his tenure and urged them to extend the same level of cooperation to his successor.
