The leadership of the Joint Aviation Trade Unions’ Forum (JATUF), an umbrella organisation representing all trade unions in Nigeria’s aviation industry, has congratulated the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN, on his retention by President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement signed by the forum’s secretary, Comrade Hector Nnadi JATUF commended Keyamo’s dedication to advancing the aviation sector, noting that his retention reflects his exceptional leadership and commitment to the industry’s growth.

“Your exemplary vision and drive to improve standards within the aviation sector have not gone unnoticed. We especially applaud the recent reorganisation initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of passengers and all stakeholders,” the statement read.

The forum also highlighted several key achievements under Minister Keyamo, including Nigeria’s impressive 75.5 per cent compliance score awarded by the Aviation Working Group (AWG) and proactive collaboration efforts with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for infrastructure development and aviation financing. JATUF noted that these initiatives have significantly strengthened the nation’s aviation ecosystem.

Additionally, JATUF praised Keyamo’s approach to industrial relations, stating, “Your inclusive and transparent handling of complex policy issues has set a new standard for stakeholder engagement. The leadership and members of all aviation trade unions are hopeful that this productive relationship will continue, with critical issues addressed with the same dedication.”
