The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has announced that healthcare costs will increase, with a 60 per cent rise in capitation and a 40 per cent increase in Fee-for-service (FFS) fees.
This decision is part of NHIA’s efforts to ensure the sustainability of the health insurance scheme and improve service delivery.
The new tariffs were agreed upon at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, which included representatives of the Association of Private Medical Practitioners and the Health Maintenance Organisations.
