The Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi says the Federal Government through the ministry will continue to support scientific research. He stated this when he received the directors of the Mammals Conservation Project in his office today in Abuja. The ministry, according to him, is poised to support pure and applied scientific research, adding this will form the bedrock of scientific development in the country. The minister emphasised the need for R&D (Research and Development) funding platform to aid the funding of scientific research in the country. He assured his guests that the ministry would always support scientific activities that would benefit the country. Earlier, the director of conservation at the Mammals Conservation Project, Mr. Benneth Obitte had said his organisation was seeking to build infrastructure of basic scientific research in the country.
