The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMeT) through its Central Forcast Office (CFO) has alerted the public on a possible rise in temperature in most parts of northern Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The general manager, public relations, NiMeT, Muntari Ibrahim made this known in a statement issued over the weekend by the CFO.
“Areas that will experience temperature greater than 40°C include parts of FCT, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Adamawa, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Rivers and Anambra.
“Other parts of the country will predominantly experience temperatures within 35°C and 40°C,” it added.
