FCC Protest

Staff of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) staged a protest on Thursday, demanding the immediate removal of the commission’s chairman, Dr. Muheebah Dankaka.

Chanting slogans and holding placards, the protesters accused Dankaka of poor leadership and alleged mismanagement, which they say have led to a collapse in internal governance and deteriorating working conditions.

They called on the Federal Government to intervene urgently and sack the chairman to restore efficiency, accountability and morale within the agency.

The protest sheds light on ongoing internal tensions at the FCC, a body tasked with promoting equitable representation in federal appointments and ensuring compliance with the federal character principle.

As of press time, there was no official response from the presidency regarding the demands, leaving staff and observers awaiting the government’s next move.
