All is set for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) hosting of the 2021 edition of the Security Week, themed “Promoting Security Culture in Nigerian Airports”.

A statement by FAAN’s general manager, corporate affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, said the week is being held per the stipulations of the Airports Council International (ACI-Africa) between October 25 and 28, 2021.

The opening ceremony, which will hold on October 25, 2021, at the Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau Conference Centre, Nigerian Correctional Service Headquarters, Abuja, will bring together stakeholders in the aviation industry.

The programme, which will hold concurrently at all airports within the authority’s network of airports, will focus on the roles of stakeholders in promoting security culture in airports.

The event, to be graced by stakeholders in the industry, including the Minister of Aviation, director-general of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), managing director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), chief executives of airlines, aviation security experts, etc., promises to highlight salient issues about the entrenchment of security culture at the nation’s airports.
