A committee set up by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has met in Abuja to review the agency’s scheme of service (SoS) and harmonise its draft report.
Speaking during the meeting yesterday, the committee chairperson and director, human resource management, Hajiya Rabi Daku, explained that the second phase of the meeting is essential to consider whether the necessary observation and review made by the committee during the last work session have been captured accordingly by the secretariat.
According to her, the objective of the review is to align the agency’s SoS with the current economic and occupational reality.
“Members of the committee are hereby welcome to this second phase of the committee work session to consider whether the necessary observation and review made by the committee during our last session have been captured accordingly by the secretariat,” she explained.
It could be recalled that the committee for the review of the scheme of service was inaugurated by the director-general, Prof. Mansur Matazu on August 5, 2021. The mandate to review the agency’s scheme of service was approved on February 28, 2012, by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
