The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu, has urged Nigerians to dm race unity, love and commitment as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a statement released by his special assistant to the minister, Lizzy Okoji, Audu encouraged reflection on the true meaning of Christmas and urged Nigerians to make positive contributions that extend beyond the festive season.
Audu emphasised the importance of spreading love beyond societal divides, urging consideration for the less privileged, displaced persons, vulnerable groups and those facing humanitarian crises. He called on Nigerians to use the Christmas season as an opportunity for collective prayer, focusing on peace, unity and the overall development of Nigeria, including the President and national leaders.
The statement further noted that Audu called the Yuletide a time for everyone to consider Christmas, manifest love and affection, and rededicate their commitments to the nation and humanity. He encouraged acts of kindness that have a lasting positive impact, fostering a sense of renewed hope for Nigerians. The minister acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies within the short period since assuming office and expressed optimism for a brighter future for the country.
Recognising the collective responsibility for nation-building, Audu emphasised the need for citizens to align with the vision of the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda. He concluded the message by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance, fostering a spirit of unity, love and commitment to a better Nigeria.
