These include additional space and expansion of the Air Force hangar at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja – similar to provisions at airports in Port Harcourt, Kano, and Lagos – as well as the creation of a VIP lounge at the Abuja airport.
Earlier, Abubakar described the ministry as a strategic partner and reaffirmed the Air Force’s readiness to collaborate on safety standards and capacity development. He also called for a stronger military presence within the Ministry and its agencies to foster mutual understanding.
