
The registrar of the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi has reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to advancing aviation education, industry collaboration and global partnerships.
Speaking at a strategic aviation development event in Lagos, themed “Transforming the Aviation Industry Through Strategic Partnerships: Advancing Airport Concessions for Sustainable Development,” Abdullahi joined key aviation policymakers and industry leaders to discuss policies and innovations aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s aviation sector, promoting sustainability, and strengthening global competitiveness.
In his address, Abdullahi emphasised AAAU’s role in aviation research, workforce development, and international engagement. He highlighted the university’s efforts in attracting foreign students and equipping professionals with cutting-edge expertise to drive the industry forward.
He also noted AAAU’s involvement in strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with leading global aviation institutions, which are critical to fostering advanced research, technical expertise and industry-driven innovation.
“As Nigeria’s premier aviation university, AAAU remains committed to delivering world-class education and pioneering research that aligns with the evolving demands of the global aviation industry. Our ability to attract international students and establish strategic global partnerships underscores Nigeria’s growing influence in the aerospace sector,” Abdullahi stated.
He reaffirmed AAAU’s dedication to academic excellence and industry leadership, emphasising its central role in shaping the future of aviation in Nigeria and beyond.
