The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU) in Abuja has established a directorate for professional training programmes (DPTP) to reinforce its commitment to capacity building in the aviation sector.
Since its launch in 2023, AAAU has offered over 14 professional training courses tailored to meet the needs of aviation professionals.
The newly established DPTP will streamline and expand these offerings under the leadership of the former head of the aviation business department, Mr. Aliyu Tata Azare who will serve as the director of the DPTP.
Azare has over 15 years of experience in designing and coordinating successful professional training programmes in aviation management. He holds a Master of Science in air transport management from Coventry University in the UK and is currently completing his PhD in aviation management at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia.
Tata brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having successfully conducted professional training programmes for major agencies, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
This initiative underscores AAAU’s mission to enhance skill development and promote professional excellence within the aviation industry.
The university extended its best wishes to Tata as he takes on this important role, setting the stage for AAAU in Abuja to solidify its position as a leader in aviation training across Africa.
