As part of its commitment to community welfare and fostering stronger town-and-gown relationships, the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU) has donated bags of Guinea corn to the Sabon Iddo community.
This gesture builds on the university’s earlier initiative to compensate farmers whose lands were affected by construction at its permanent site. In line with its social cooperative programme aimed at uplifting local residents, AAAU reached out to assist farmers nearing harvest when their crops were impacted.
The donation of Guinea corn underscores AAAU’s dedication to supporting neighbouring communities. The registrar, Mustapha Abdullahi and the director of physical planning and works, Engr. Mas’ud Aliyu Yerima presented 10 bags of Guinea corn to the Sarki of Sabon Iddo, High Chief Yakubu Alkali, for distribution to the affected farmers.
AAAU’s commitment to building lasting relationships with its neighboring communities reinforces its goal of fostering a safe and mutually beneficial environment for all.
