Aspirants of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Federal House of Representatives in the just concluded primary elections across the country have formed a group to ensure the victory of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the party’s flagbearer in the 2023 presidential poll.
The group, 2023 PDP Reps’ Aspirants For Atiku, said its sole mandate is to leverage the networks to mobilise voters for the party’s flagbearer. The group’s protem national chairman, Hon. QS Mohammed Danjuma stated that its aim is to galvanise support from all constituencies in Nigeria for the success of PDP at the 2023 polls.
According to Hon. Garkuwa Babba, the forum believes that Atiku’s values will lead Nigeria and Nigerians out of the present quagmire.
Babba stated that the forum will collaborate with several political groups already established during their campaigns to build a solid political structure that will ensure victory at the poll.
“The forum is fully convinced that the victory of PDP is a victory for Nigerians. Also, [we are] confident that His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s victory in the 2023 general election is the only sure way to salvage Nigeria from the current hardships and scarcity of resources in the country,” he added.
A statement by the forum’s national publicity secretary, Kenaz Isaac said the forum whose members are spread across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, will work hard towards its mandate.
